Meet Karly
Karly Lohan
Senior Program Manager, Carolinas & Virginia
Karly joined the Southeastern Wind Coalition in January of 2022. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2021 with an M.S. in Coastal and Ocean Policy, and holds a B.S. in Biology from Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD.
As a Senior Program Manager, Karly leads the Coalition’s work to reduce barriers for offshore and land based wind development across the Carolinas. Karly’s work includes various outreach and education efforts, tracking policy and regulatory issues, and coordinating the Offshore Wind for North Carolina (OSW4NC) campaign.
Prior to joining SEWC, Karly worked with small, grassroots non-profits on a variety of issues including water quality, plastic pollution, coastal restoration, and more.
Karly lives in Jacksonville, NC, and volunteers with a local natural foods co-op that works to foster and nourish the health of the individual, community and planet by offering natural, sustainable, and local products. In her free time, Karly is at the beach or in the garden with her yellow lab, Dudley.
