Lisa Bianchi-Fossati
Managing Director, Sr. Research Engineer - Georgia Institute of Technology
Lisa is a member of the research faculty in the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering and Managing Director of the Generation II Reinvented Toilet Program (G2RT). G2RT is a multimillion-dollar global collaboration working to develop off-grid sanitation solutions. In her role as Managing Director, Lisa is responsible for comprehensive program management from technology development through to licensing and commercialization support. In addition, Lisa is engaged in the development and management of a broader portfolio of transdisciplinary applied research efforts tied to climate, energy, and sustainability. Prior to joining Georgia Tech Lisa was the Policy Director at Southface Institute. She also has more than two decades of experience partnering with energy and utility companies across North America and Europe. Lisa is passionate about advancing the sustainable use of natural resources and holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science & Policy from Duke University.
