Jaxon joined the Southeastern Wind Coalition as a Program Associate in July 2023. He earned a BA in Political Science and Earth Ecosystems from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2023. Before joining SEWC, Jaxon supported clean energy policy research and education efforts at Energy Alabama and spent the previous two summers with E2 (Environmental Entrepreneurs) and the Environmental and Energy Study Institute.
As a Program Associate, Jaxon’s work includes developing relationships with stakeholders in Alabama, assisting with wind strategies in Alabama and other central states, and researching and analyzing barriers and opportunities for wind energy in the Southeast.
Jaxon is an Alabama native who has lived in four different Southeastern states and currently resides in Huntsville. In his spare time, he leads grassroots environmental organizing in Huntsville and enjoys podcasting, hiking with friends, sci-fi movies, reading, and sipping oat milk lattes at local coffee shops.
